Everything is Just Rite

February 8th, 2012 crftyjh No comments

I wanted to feature all the new stamps we have at our on-line store.  We got a JustRite order and I made these two cards.  Then one of our sales reps asked me to teach a class at her company’s trade show in March and i devoted all my time to working on that instead of the other new stamps.  Be sure to check out what we got at the store www.stampexpressstore.com. And, maybe I’ll give you a sneak peak next week of the projects we are doing with the new Irogetin pencils from Tombow.  One of the classes at the trade show will be focusing on these.

For my mom’s birthday in March, I made a spring-like card with flowers and a saying about flowers.  I used the circle cut-out card from Stamp Express, paper from BoBunny, dies from Spellbinders, Copic markers, Martha Stewart punch, and of course stamps from JustRite.

The kid’s birthday card is sooo cute with animal print paper from BoBunny,  stamps from JustRite Copic markers, Stamp Express quality cardstock, Martha Stewart punch and buttons from my stash.  I hope you enjoy these.

Going Green

February 1st, 2012 crftyjh 1 comment

It’s time to start thinking about spring and St. Patrick’s Day.  Make green cards now and have them ready to mail next month.  Here are 3 I made to sell at Brushstrokes and Blessings at the West Shore Farmers Market.  My vintage print card features a Martha Stewart border punch, EK Corner Adorner, a Stamp Express vintage print, Stamp Express quality cardstock and Colorbok designer paper.  This card would also be good for a March birthday.

Erin go braugh uses a Stamp Barn stamp, Colorbok paper and a Martha Stewart punch.  The Kiss me card has Spellbinders label, May Arts ribbon, BoBunny designer paper that is hand stitched and Copic markers accented with Stickles for the gold.

Layering is the technique we want to stress here.  One customer asked me how to keep her cards from looking like a kid’s coloring book.  I feel that layering is the answer.  Use patterned paper, stamps punches, ribbons, cardstock and embellishments to promote an adult look.  Too much is never enough!  You can purchase supplies for your green cards at
www.stampexpressstore.com. Go Green!

More Valentines

Everyone loves receiving Valentine cards.  Parents, lovers, children, grandchildren, and friends all enjoy a greeting on that special day.  Here’s a selection you can copy or embellish upon.  Designer papers are from BoBunny, cardstock is Stamp Express quality cardstock.  Dies are Spellbinders and Accucut.  Cupcake stamps are from Hero Arts.  Sentiment stamp is JustRite, and the bunny is Stampavie.  All coloring is done with Copic markers.  Remember when cutting images out by hand, move the paper instead of the scissors for a smoother cut.  Also, cut just outside the lines so that you can see the stamped outline.  Embellishments include Prima flowers, butcher twine from Stampin’ Up, and glued on beads for the cupcake decorations.  These are such fun to make, you’ll want to make more.  All products are available at www.stampexpressstore.com.  During January, everything is 30% off!  Start crafting!

Vintage Valentines

January 11th, 2012 crftyjh 2 comments

It’s easy to make Victorian style Valentine cards when you incorporate our vintage prints with lacey embellishments, flowers, ribbons, and jewels.  You could also use these on a wedding scrapbook page or anniversary spread.  Punches I used were Martha Stewart and EK.  Cardstock is  Stamp Express quality cardstock.  Designer paper is from BoBunny.  And stamps for the sentiments are from Hero Arts.  Jewels and ribbons were in my stash.  Ovals and scallops were cut with Spellbinders dies.  You can order the vintage prints this month at 30% off.  All the other products are also on sale.  Just click here to go to our store.

Celebrating Love

August 9th, 2011 crftyjh No comments

My sister and brother-in-law are celebrating their wedding anniversary next week.  I couldn’t wait to try out the new Spellbinders fancy tags die, so I combined the two desires into one card!  BoBunny double sided paper with butterflies seemed summery and romantic.  I used it for a background and also cut out the butterfly from another piece.  The stamp is from JustRite and fit into the blank part of the tag “just right”.  Ribbon was from my stash.  I hope they enjoy getting this card and our best wishes.  I enjoyed making it for them.  You can get the tag dies at our on-line store now and see how you like them.

Merry Christmas to All

The backordered Santa stamps from Stampavie finally came in.  They are just in time for those who make their cards at the last minute like me.  See how adorable the jolly old elf looks when colored with Copic markers and accented with Stickles.  We also got to try the new tag trio set of dies from Spellbinders when making the buckle at the top of the card.  The airbrushed background was an experiment, but not bad.  I hope you enjoy our card and your holiday season.  Merry Christmas!
