House Mouse images just make you smile. And, this month’s Halloween set is adorable. Here are 2 of the 4 cards we have planned for the class at Olde Towne Books and Brew on Oct 1st. The Dracula mouse is being held off by the mouse with garlic! Stamps are from Stampabilities and colored with Copic markers. Designer paper is BoBunny, The second card uses Stamp Express pumpkin lovenotes. Inside we cut out just the vampire mouse and saying. Sign up for class now or order the stamps and materials at www.stampexpressstore.com. Our third card is one of the Christmas cards that Betsy Gibney is doing at the Locomotion Day on Oct 15 at the Stone Manse Bed and Breakfast. BoBunny holiday paper is topped with JustRite stamps and ribbon. Betsy has 4 holiday projects planned for her class that day. Barb is working on a gift idea and I’ll come up with something! Plus Myra is cooking and baking a delicious lunch and snacks. We hope to see you all at both of these events.

Wishing You Joy Christmas Card
Since the projects in the mouse kits are 3-D this month, I had to photograph the samples instead of scanning. I hope they turn out to be presentable. The first card is a windshieldwiper card. It does fold flat to mail. The second card is an easel card which also folds flat to mail. And the third card is a belted card. I used Copic markers to color all of them, but you could use watercolor pencils with a blender pen, or Prismacolor pencils with gamisol and blending stumps. All cardstock is Stamp Express quality cardstock. Designer paper is by BoBunny. Ribbon is May Arts, and the button is just from my stash. You can order the kits with the stamps at our on-line store now! Everyone loves the mice! Sign up for the Mouselicious morning on April 30 to work with the May mouse of the month.

These stamps will be the “apple of your eye” for September cards and scrapbook pages. The House Mouse of the month this time is really “a-peeling”, especially if you like coloring and blending with the Copic markers. Below are 2 samples of the same stamp. We mounted one on a big apple and put the words inside. The second one is quite simple with a scored and sanded frame on Colorcore cardstock. Words that match this stamp are ” an apple a day keeps the mice at play”. How cute is that? Come to the store to see more examples. One is a t-slider card that was too complicated to show here, but very clever. If you LOVE these mice, sign up for the next Mouseketeers class and create some projects of your own. It’s always the last Tuesday of the month. And in addition to snacking on crackers and cheese, you also go home with the stamps
